Hi, I’m Domagoj and I’m from Zagreb, Croatia. The thing that matters the most to me in is acting – sometimes at home, sometimes in the theaters. I’m currently studying Philosophy and Theology at KBF in Zagreb, but my love for art is still present. I have dedicated my life to youth, problems and violence among adolescents. I have never liked or practiced acting in movies because I think it is fake art, unlike the theater where everything is alive.
But, Matija Holjevac, director of Star Film Festival invited me to the festival as a volunteer. That year I was in charge of the technics, and immediately a year later I got an invitation to the organizing committee, I was happy to accept and started to love movies as an form of art. In the same year I went to the media sector where I was in charge of the video chronicles of HRT as a journalist with my colleague Leo Vitasovic.
Preparing questions, recording, editing, and socializing with different people was just what I needed to completely fall in love with movies. I am a person who is always on the move. Of course, I did not have any time to rest at the festival so we came up with the idea of starting a live stream. And for the third year in a row we record live streams with famous festival guests coming all the way from China or even Hollywood. The most amusing thing about live-stream preparation is: guest research, finding attractive locations, preparing technics, and of course the fact that we’re going literaly live on the stream so I feel like I’m at the theaters. This is the fourth year for me at Star Film Festival and I hope I will participate in the organisation of SFF for another four years or even more. Every year is different. As our director tells us: “By the end of this year’s festival, we are beginning with preparations for the next year”.
