Star Film Fest is an international short film festival held in the city of Sisak, at authentic and recognizable public locations. This year, the festival celebrates its 13th edition, taking place from August 20th to 22nd. Over the course of three festival days, Star Film Fest actively develops and nurtures film culture in Sisak and the surrounding area through categories of documentary, fiction, industrial, experimental, and animated short films. The festival offers film lovers a unique experience of watching screenings under the starry sky, in spaces where cinema meets the city and its residents. In addition to the main competitive program, the festival is enriched with a diverse range of accompanying events—including exhibitions, film workshops, concerts, and discussions on current social and artistic topics. In this way, Star Film Fest proudly promotes film as an essential part of cultural heritage and contemporary artistic expression, encouraging critical thinking, dialogue, and openness. The festival is organized by Kino Klub Sisak, which is also the only continuous gathering place for filmmakers in the Sisak-Moslavina County.
