The observational documentary film shows a large number of Istrian residents connected to the promenade of Franz Josef I, its buildings, beaches and the sea. We follow the lives of individual people and their immediate interactions with other people through the changes of the seasons, thus showing how these same changes also affect the promenade itself during the tourist season and after it. The promenade is made up of unusual events and manifestations, as well as various gatherings on a twelve-kilometer route along the sea.
But this is not the end of Sisak’s film story, because the week after, from August 29th to 31st on the Promenade of Vladimir Nazor, we are hanging out at the 11th edition of the Star Film Fest, where you will have the opportunity to watch 31 short films in competition with a rich accompanying program of masterclasses, talks, jam sessions and screenings of films such as “The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent” by Nebojsa Slijepčević which also won the Golden Palm Award in the short film category at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

The program is free.
The program was realized with the support of the city of Sisak and the Croatian Audiovisual Center.
Star Gardens is a project of Kino Klub Sisak, which started as the Star Cinema in Fluid, and in 2018 was renamed Star Gardens, better known to the citizens of Sisak as the tradition of enjoying film art in the hidden gardens of Sisak under the starry sky.
