Star Film Fest and Kino Klub Sisak invite all young short film authors to submit their films for participation in the competitive program of this year’s 12th edition of Star Film Fest, which will take place from August 21 to August 23, 2025, in the city of Sisak.
The festival is open to filmmakers who are at least 18 years old and no older than 35 at the time of the film’s production.
The competitive program includes the following film categories: fiction, documentary, experimental, animated, and industrial. Films must have been produced within the last two years (since January 1st, 2023) and should not exceed 20 minutes in length.
Submissions are accepted through the online platform FilmFreeway, and details regarding applications, conditions, and specifications can be found in the festival regulations available on the official SFF website.
To support and promote domestic and regional films and filmmakers, submissions from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Montenegro are free of charge. Submissions from other countries are also free until February 20th, 2025.
The submission deadline is May 10th, 2025.
