Every wait pays off, and we welcomed our volunteers for the 7th Edition of the Star Film Fest. Wondering what the stars are made of? We guarantee you that our big one is made up of those smaller but equally valuable stars, volunteers. Therefore, we are proud to announce that we have selected 20 enthusiastic volunteers who will contribute to the splendor of Star Film Fest 2020.
Ten registered volunteers to participate in the Star Film Fest are from Sisak or the surrounding area, while 10 of them also come from other cities in Croatia. This year we will be joined by Lara Drušković from Korčula, Emil Unger, Valentina Marić, Leda Nikolić and Mislav Pislak from Zagreb, Eleonora Detić from Varaždin, Lea Eriani Držaić from Kastav, Ema Vidović from Županja, Miljana Stojčić from Bjelovar, Karlo Tomašković from Breznica and Vid Bešlić from Petrinja. From Sisak and its surroundings we will be joined by Petra Devčić, Karla Josić, Tanja Soldat, Karla Kovačić, Nikola Kovačić, Jana Đureković, Bernarda Đureković, Gabriela Hernaut and Jasna Mance.
We look forward to working and having fun under the starry sky, and we’ve already had a chance to meet some of the volunteers. Bernarda Đureković also volunteered at last year’s Star Film Fest, and this year her sister, Jana Đureković, also decided to apply. Among the loyal volunteers are Jasna Mance, Karla Josić, whom you may recognize as the star of Star Film Fest, Gabriela Hernaut, who stood out at last year’s Star Film Fest by drawing, dancing and animation, and Karla Kovačić is returning.
Faithful volunteers are proof that we are doing something right and that stardust is falling wherever the Star Film Fest organizing team passes, reinforced with the inevitable volunteers. Each of our volunteers is special and precious to us, and we are grateful and proud of the applications.
The volunteers had the task to present themselves in the best light, so we could find out interesting information about them by reviewing their applications. Some of the volunteers really love and make film, so Mislav Pislak, a journalism student, is proud of his documentary and Vid Bešlić also makes films, in addition to making music.
Miljana Stojčić is coming to Star Film Fest for the first time, and she has volunteered at many festivals. The student of physics and informatics says that she is ready for everything, and one of the most interesting experiences she points out is volunteering for “brain plastering” at the Faculty of Medicine.
Karlo Tomašković traveled through Asia at the beginning of this year. Backpacking yielded an irreplaceable experience, and Carlo volunteered on his way to hostels in exchange for a free night and thus met people from all over the world. He applied because he would like to experience something new in Croatia this summer. We hope that the starry sky over Sisak will shine as enchantingly as the one in Asia.
Volunteers will be distributed by sectors according to their wishes when applying, and as this year’s edition of Star Film Fest is held in the online version, volunteers are more important than ever. Part of the Star Film Fest program that will be held at locations in Sisak will be implemented in accordance with the recommended measures of epidemiological services.
