On the occasion of the 10th edition of Star Film Fest, we present this year’s members of the jury.

This year’s SFF jury, which will award a total of 11 star awards, is special in that most of its members are filmmakers from the city of Sisak – director and producer Bobby B. Grubić, cinematographer, director of photography Davor Bjelanović, director Goran Dević and actor Goran Grgić who has been a great friend of Star Film Fest since the very beginning.

This year, we decided to return to our roots and the artists of Sisak, with the aim of highlighting the city of Sisak, which has not only been supporting Star Film Fest for 10 consecutive years, but also to emphasize that Sisak is truly a film city, from which some of the most important names of the Croatian film scene come. .

For years, Star Film Fest has also been following the tradition of saving one of the winners of the previous edition of the festival a place on the jury of the upcoming fest. That place is occupied this year by the Serbian director, screenwriter and writer Bojana Babić, who won the award for the best regional film with the film “Divljač

Bojana Babić – Director, screenwriter and writer. She studied dramaturgy and film at faculties in Belgrade, Lisbon, Edinburgh and Tallinn. She is the author of full-length works that have been staged in Belgrade theaters, as well as scripts for short and feature-length films produced in Serbia, Estonia and Latvia. She directed the short films “A Favour” (Estonia, 2020) and “Divljač” (Serbia, 2020), which won the award for the best regional film at Star Film Fest in 2022. Bojana currently lives in Canada, where she attends artistic doctoral studies and teaches screenwriting.

Davor Bjelanović – Born in Sisak in 1978. Graduated in film and TV recording at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb in 2013. He has been working as a cinematographer and director of photography for 20 years. For the last 10 years, he has been working as a steadicam operator and director of photography on many domestic and foreign series, films, commercials and music videos. He is currently working on a domestic series and is preparing to shoot a new film in the fall, and at the same time she has been nominated for the Nikola Tanhofer Award by Croatian Filmmakers for a feature film.

Bobby Boško Grubić – Director and producer and multiple winner of the Emmy Award and numerous other awards for production, marketing and film. He is a multimedia consultant and international speaker on media convergence, production and marketing. He graduated from UCLA’s TV/Film and Theater Production program in Los Angeles, and received his MA in Mass Communication from John Hopkins University. His creative development, directing and producing experience includes the production of TV commercials, corporate videos, documentaries, travel films, biographies, scripted videos and film projects. His European origins and American influence make his artistic productions a diverse and unique blend that is universally appealing and emotionally moving. Goran Dević – He was born in 1971 in Sisak. He studied law and archaeology. He graduated in film and TV directing at ADU Zagreb, where he currently works as an assistant professor at the BA and MA study of Film and TV directing. He is the director and screenwriter of twenty documentaries and feature films. As a co-author, he wrote the screenplay and directed the feature film “Crnci” and is the author of many award-winning documentaries.

Goran Grgić – Born in Osijek in 1965. After graduating from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, in 1990 he was invited to work permanently at GDK Gavella. He is a member of the Drama Ensemble of the HNK in Zagreb and became the champion of drama in 2002. He was declared the national champion in 2018. He was the president of the Croatian Society of Dramatic Artists for eleven years. Member of the board of directors of HAVC from 2008 to 2012. He is the founder and director of the theater festival Novaljski triatar from 2005 to the present day. He is an external associate at the University of Vern in the titular title of associate professor in the course behavior and acting in front of the camera. He played in over fifty Croatian films and TV series. Multiple awards for his work, he is the winner of the most outstanding artistic (Vladimir Nazor Award, three Croatian Actor Awards, Dubravko Dujšin Award, two Mila Dimitrijević Awards of the HNK, Tito Strozzi Award, etc.), festival awards (Orlando DLJI Award, MESS Golden Wreath Award , the Fabijan Šovagović Award of the Actor’s Festival, the Marulić Days Award, the Satire Day, Histrionic Summer, the BiH Actor’s Festival…) and high honors in the Republic of Croatia (Danica Hrvatska with the image of Marko Marulić, Plaque of the City of Zagreb). At the 2021 Actor’s Festival, he received the Ivo Gregurević award for exceptional contribution to the Actor’s Festival and the acting profession. In the same year, in Orašje, at the Days of Croatian Film, he received the award of the same name for his contribution to Croatian film.
