The final day of the 12th Star Film Fest, Saturday, August 23rd, begins at 10:00 AM at Theatre 21 with a children’s screening of the animated film “Flow”, under the patronage of INA. The animated film “Flow” premiered in the “Un Certain Regard” program of the Cannes Film Festival and was immediately hailed by IndieWire critics as one of “the most significant animated films about nature since Bambi.”

For the slightly older audience, a panel discussion on the topic of movement in film will be held at the same time, moderated by film critic and Star Film Fest selector Iva Rosandić. The panel will feature film critic Bartol Babić Vukmir, actress Petra Kurtela, illustrator and animator Ana Despot, and documentary filmmaker Lucija Brkić. The panelists will present their work, experiences, and perspectives on movement in film. They will discuss movement in animation and acting, illusion in documentary filmmaking, as well as opportunities for education, scholarships, and pathways to artistic creation. Participation in the panel is free of charge, but attendance must be confirmed by filling out an online registration form.

At 3:00 PM, at the same venue, you’ll have the chance to meet and talk with young filmmakers from the competition program at the Small Film Talks session, hosted by Lucija Ćeškić. This will be followed by the final competition screening and the traditional film quiz, organized in collaboration with Kvizopija – the first pub quiz in Sisak.

The festival will close in style at 8:00 PM with the announcement of winners, the awards ceremony, and a music program by DJ Saša Tadić.
