The other three blocks of competitive screenings bring 7 short feature films and four of them will be shown as part of the third block of competitive screenings (August 30th at 8:15 p.m.) – Macedonian “Only the devil hates the water” by Lidija Mojsovska, Kosovo’s “HANA” by Fatlinda Hyseni, the Spanish “Power Up” by the group of authors and the Serbian “5/3/0” by Danilo Stanimirović.

“Only the devil hates the water” shows the friendship of the main characters, Boris and Kira, is put to the test when his grandmother tells him that Kira is a symbol of the devil. The main character of “Power Up”, Araia is an adolescent struggling with the typical challenges of her age – bullying, dealing with divorced parents and navigating the complexities of teenage romance, while struggling with various aspects of her life, “5/3/0” brings the story of one night when a teenage girl takes a taxi to a neighboring town. After a harrowing ride and an even worse night at a friend’s birthday party, she is forced to return home with a menacing taxi driver who insists on sitting in the front seat next to him.

The fourth competitive screening (August 30th at 9:20 p.m.) brings two feature films – “The yellow one” by Montenegrin director Itana Vukosavljević, whose main character, food deliveryman and unrealized painter Koča, faces the realization that life does not end for people in their thirties and “The Ice Cream Timeline” by Croatian director Mateo Kos whose main character uses a time machine to try to buy ice cream before the nearest ice cream shop closes.

As part of the last, fifth competitive screening (August 30th u 10:25 p.m.)., Dina Uglešić‘s Croatian feature film “Pater Familias” will be shown in which teenager Domagoj lets a prison escapee into his apartment who pretends to be a Latin teacher.
