Star Film Fest, the international short film festival in Sisak this year from Thursday, August 31st to Saturday, September 2nd is celebrating ten years of jubilee. Sisak took on the guise of a short film and we have three days of enjoying film art, education and music, but also three days of remembering all the 10 years behind us and everyone who helped us make this stellar story complete a full decade of continuous maintenance and enjoyment of the film under the starry Sisak sky.
A small movie projector and a small screen became big, plastic chairs replaced comfortable lounge chairs, a modest program was replaced by a colorful one, three film awards were replaced by as many as 11 of them, a small team of organizers became a team of 15 creative and ambitious people and irreplaceable volunteer forces.
In the main competition program, 38 short films by directors from Croatia, the region and the whole world are waiting for you, and the opening ceremony of this year’s celebratory edition and the screening of the first block of competition films will be held at 20:15 on Thursday, August 31st at the Vladimir Nazor Promenade, after the opening of which will be marked by a concert by the Sisak band L.H.D. known for the sounds of soul from the 60s, garage, psychedelic rock, exotica and surf.
