This year, in addition to great films, filmmakers and the best audience, Star Film Fest is also hosting excellent program content, among which this year’s edition of workshops is raising stardust.
From star to star, from idea to idea all the way to the film. Film dramaturgy workshop at this year’s Star Film Festival is about the idea – developing an idea, researching what an idea really is and what creative impulses, which are often not immediately obvious to us, it contains. Under the guidance of Patrik Gregurec, through individual and group work, participants will work on analyzing, detecting and synthesizing everything they like and as a result they will take the first step towards their own authorial voice; and the first step towards his idea – the idea for the film. You can sign up fot the dramaturgy workshop via the Google form.
Film art would not be film art without film critique. Under the guidance of Iva Rosandić, the participants of the film critique workshop will through a two day workshop try to determine the basic assumptions, significance and types of writing about film through discussion and analysis of other people’s texts. Taking into account individual interests, the knowledge will try to be applied in the work on their own texts, some of which will also appear on the official website of Star Film Fest. Apply for the film critique worksop via the Google form.
In collaboration with the non-profit international art and production platform, Bacači Sjenke, as part of the CinEd project, a mysterious film workshop will be held with screening of the film made by one of the most respected contemporary European filmmakers. The name of the film, the name of the director, the actors and the content of the film will not be known until the screening and the film puzzle will be solved in a workshop through a series of individual and group creative activities, with image, sound, acting and mise-en-scène. You can apply for the film workshop via the Google form.
Due to the ubiquity of the media, media literacy is considered one of the key competencies of the 21st century which is why we have prepared a Round Table on Media Literacy at this year’s edition. Why is media literacy important for all ages? Why are critical information analysis and evaluation skills important? Why is it important to know how to interpret and understand media content? Why is it important to integrate media literacy into the education system? These are just some of the issues we will discuss with Matija Mrakovčić, Martina Mladenović, Bojan Ilčić and Marija Georgiev.
And for the end – exotic projections and ambient music, the starry sky above Sisak will make it even more magical. Liquid light show workshop is organized by Egzoterra Kolektiv. This form of artistic expression and lighting design technique is over 50 years old. It is characterized by the use of primitive tools, easily available consumables (oil, water, paint) and overhead projectors. You can sign up for the Liquid Light Show workshop via the Google form.
