Sisak has taken on the guise of a short film and three stellar days of enjoying film art, education and music are ahead of us as part of the 11th edition of Star Film Fest!
From Thursday, August 29th to Saturday, August 31st, the main competition program will feature 31 short films by directors from Croatia, the region and the whole world, and the official opening of this year’s edition will begin on Thursday at the Vladimir Nazor promenade with the performance of Duo Saniam & Trio Bellissimo at 19:30, followed by the official opening of the fest at 20:15! The film will be opened by a screening of the film directed by Nebojša Slijepčević, ‘The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent’, which won the award Golden Palm in the short film category at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, followed by the first two competitive screenings.
As part of the first day, two competitive screenings will be held – the first, starting at 20:15, will feature 6 films – ‘Hands: Triptych’ (dir. Kaja Rakušček, documentary), ‘Sincopat’ (dir. Pol Diggler, feature), ‘I’m Shutin’ (dir. Sara Horvatić, fiction), ‘Chosen’t’ (dir. Yotam Goren, animation) ‘Šuma Striborova’ (dir. Ana Despot, animation), ‘Curiousa’ (dir. Tessa Moult-Milewska, animation) .
As part of the second competition screening, which starts at 10 p.m., three films will be shown – ‘Burial’ (dir. Jerzy Czachowski, feature film), ‘Bug Susjede bubice’ (dir. Filip Zadro, feature film) and ‘Journey of Cooking’ (dir. Qingyi (Echo) Sun, animated)
